Abstract
<jats:p>Рецензия посвящена книге воронежского профессора Г. Н. Мокшина об историографии летописного Воронежа. Рассматривается структура исследования, оценивается позиция автора по вопросу о древнем Воронеже. Отмечается, что автор книги не высказывает своего мнения. Он предоставляет читателю возможность познакомиться с научным спором через источники и научные публикации. Подчеркивается важное значение книги в учебном процессе, а также для общественности города в канун 850-летия упоминания слова «Воронеж» в летописи.</jats:p> <jats:p>The review of the book by Voronezh professor G. N. Mokshin is presented. The book sets out the history of the study of chronicle Voronezh. The structure of the study is considered, the author’s position on the issue of Old Voronezh is evaluated. It is noted that the author of the book does not express his opinion. It provides the reader with an opportunity to get acquainted with the scientific dispute through sources and scientific publications. The importance of the book in the educational process is emphasized, as well as the importance of the book for the public of the city on the eve of the 850th anniversary of the mention of the word “Voronezh” in the chronicle.</jats:p>
