Фрагменты неизвестной композиции, найденные в 1959 г. «перед входом» в храм № 1 Довмонтова города

<jats:p>В статье представлены промежуточные результаты работы с коллекцией фрагментов монументальной живописи, собранных в 1959 г. во время раскрытия руин храма № 1 Довмонтова города участниками Псковской археологической экспедиции Государственного Эрмитажа под руководством Г.П. Гроздилова и хранящихся в Псковском музее‑заповеднике. В процессе подборки разрозненных фрагментов были определены части композиции «Сошествие во ад», располагавшейся в нише. Место выемки обломков разрушенной настенной росписи позволяет предположить наличие на западном фасаде четверика надпортальной фрески, указывающей на посвящение церкви.</jats:p> <jats:p>This article presents the preliminary findings of an ongoing study of a collection of fragments of monumental wall paintings recovered during the excavation of the ruins of Church No. 1 in Dovmont Fortress in 1959. This excavation was conducted by members of the Pskov Archaeological Expedition of the State Hermitage Museum, led by G. P. Grozdilov. The fragments are currently held in the Pskov Museum-Reserve. In the course of reassembling the dispersed fragments, parts of the composition ‘Descent into Hell’, located in a niche, were identified. The location where the fragments were found suggests the presence of an overportal fresco on the western façade of the main structure, which may indicate the dedication of the church.</jats:p>
