Abstract
<jats:p>In Colombian municipalities, especially in territories that have intensely experienced the impacts of the armed conflict, thousands of families inhabit popular neighborhoods that emerged as a response to displacement, migration, and social exclusion. In these neighborhoods, improving housing and its surroundings is an opportunity to rebuild the social fabric, bring dignity to daily life, and advance toward the construction of territorial peace. This Policy Brief presents the CHU(i)+PEACE roadmap as a practical guide to implement comprehensive habitat upgrading with an intersectional approach and peacebuilding as a contribution to the transformation of popular neighborhoods into resilient territories within the municipalities most affected by the conflict in the Colombian Pacific. Based on the case of Guapi, Cauca, it presents the step-by-step process for carrying out the CHU(i)+peace framework, grounded in the dimensions of the Decalogue for Comprehensive Neighborhood upgrading in Latin America and the Caribbean, strengthened by the integration of local realities, cultural values, and community voices.</jats:p>
