Structure and Dynamics of the Russian Scholarly Discourse on the Special Military Operation

<jats:p>The article presents the results of an exploratory bibliometric and thematic analysis of a set of scientific publica-tions on the special military operation (SMO) indexed in the Scientific Electronic Library eLibrary.ru in 2022–2025. The empirical basis of the study consists of 7691 unique publications distributed across nine thematic categories. The study identifies the dynamics of publication activity, the disciplinary structure, and the interdis-ciplinary features of the Russian scholarly discourse on the SMO. Based on an analysis of heading complexes, the key substantive profiles of the scientific interpretation of the SMO have been reconstructed. The article shows the asymmetry between the economic, legal, and socio-humanitarian research areas, and identifies substantive gaps in certain scientific fields. A conclusion has been drawn about the predominantly applied na-ture of the emerging scholarly discourse.</jats:p>
