Trade and Economic Cooperation as a Factor in the Development of Political Collaboration between Russia and the UAE in the Context of the Transformation of the World Order

<jats:p>The article examines the causal relationship between economic partnership and political collaboration between Russia and the United Arab Emirates. The object of the study is the bilateral relations between the Russian Federation and the UAE, and the impact of economic cooperation on the development of political dialogue between the countries acts as a subject. The purpose of the work is to identify and substantiate how economic cooperation deepening contributes to the evolvement of political partnership between Russia and the UAE. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of institutional mechanisms and practical results of interaction. The scientific novelty of the research lies in the substantiation of the fact that the economic cooperation between Russia and the UAE is a tool for implementing Russia’s foreign policy strategy in the Middle East to create mul-tipolar centers of power. For the first time in political science discourse, it is demonstrated how geopolitical risks are mitigated and an institutional security architecture is formed in the macroregion, independent of Western sanctions influence, through the mechanisms of interfacing national economies (RF ‒ UAE) and integration associations (EAEU ‒ UAE). Based on the material of the Russian-Emirati relations, it is also revealed how in-tensive trade and economic ties create a stable foundation for the upgrowth of political dialogue. The main re-sults of the study show that economic cooperation between the countries has significantly increased in recent years, and a comprehensive institutional framework for cooperation has been formed for this purpose. Political interaction advances with a certain time lag after reaching a significant mass of economic ties.</jats:p>
