Investment Attractiveness of Urban Territories in Russia and China: Industrial and Regional Aspects of Master Planning in Early Stages

<jats:p>This article examines the issues about the implementation of the Chinese vector of shaping the investment attractiveness of Russian urban areas, Chinese transport corridors formation through logistics and infrastruc-ture links on both sides. The author considers the investment attractiveness of urban areas as the main factor influencing on the investment capture in the project development, even at the master planning stage. It is noted that China as a major trading partner maintaining stable economic relations with Russia can become a promis-ing investor for implementing the master plans and shaping the investment attractiveness of urban areas. In the work, the author represents the key conditions for the creation of Chinese transport corridors that positively im-pact on the investment attractiveness of these territories: new economic reality creation in the region where China’s investment, simplified procedures for customs and frontier control, China’s reverse profit are used.</jats:p>
