Abstract

<jats:p>Historical palace and park complexes in Ukraine, in particular in the Lviv region, are often in poor or dilapidated condition today, and their potential is not used properly. This necessitates a comprehensive study of the historical development and current state of palace and park complexes in Ukraine. When it comes to landscape parks at palaces, an important component of such a study is the inventory of green spaces, assessment of their condition, development of a plan for the preservation of the park, and adaptation of its territory to modern needs. The main attention in this work is focused on the features of the formation and development of the landscape around the palace and park complex of Fredriv-Sheptytskyi in the village of Vyshnia, Horodotskyi district, Lviv region. The purpose of the study is to develop general recommendations for the preservation and restoration of the landscape of parks-monuments of landscape art using the example of the park at the Fredriv-Sheptytskykh Palace in the village of Vyshnia, Lviv region. Methodology: the study uses methods of historical and cartographic analysis, comparative analysis of scientific sources, as well as methods of route surveys and inventory of green spaces in the park. During the study, an analysis of urban planning characteristics and landscape planning organization of the park territory was conducted. Based on a partial inventory of green spaces within the park territory, the current state of age-old trees was characterized, and the species composition of the park's dendroflora was determined. The necessary measures for the protection and preservation of valuable age-old trees and the historical planning structure of the park-monument at the Fredriv-Sheptytskykh Palace in the village of Vyshnia have been formulated.</jats:p>
