Abstract
The purpose of the article is to define the role of art in the contemporary cultural environment. Clearly, modern technologies traditionally carry both positive aspects and significant risks. The scientific novelty lies in the analysis of digitized phenomena of classical art, its transformation through user intervention, as well as in the analysis of cyber art and the identification of the role of the human factor in the creation of artistic works by computer programs themselves. The author has reached the following conclusions. The digital turn ushered in a new cultural era, which, half a century later, led to the end of the era of classical humanism. Today, attempts are being made to fundamentally rethink humanity in the digital age. The role of digital art is significant in these cultural transformations. Digital art is more accessible to a wider audience, which contributes to its popularization. In the digital space, art becomes an element of online content, acquiring the properties and capabilities of digital media, going beyond the aesthetic sphere of real cultural existence. In digitized works of art, the meanings intended by the authorsare transformed, and the architecture of values is shifted. The recipient acquires the qualities of a consumer, while simultaneously gaining the opportunity to become a co-author of any artistic work placed in the digital space.
