<jats:p>Khalkhs occupy 80 persent of the population of modern Mongolia. Khoshuu of Baatar zasag’s was established in 1691. Located present-day Khokhmorit and Bayan-Uul sums of the Govi-Altai aimag. That is why the in historical source calls the “Olkhonuud khoshuu”. In this article dealt about the origin and tribal composition of the Khalkhs of Baatar zasag’s khoshuu in Zasagt Khan aimag. Many tribes live in Baatar zasag’s khoshuu of Zasagt Khan aimag, such as Alag Aduun, Besud, Borjigin, Jalair, Olkhonuud, Sartuul, Khotogoid and Uriyankhai who became the ancestors of the khalhs.</jats:p>
