The Artistic World of Supiyanat Mamaeva's Children's Poetry

<jats:p>The article analyzes poems for children of preschool and school age by the famous modern Kumyk poetess Supiyanat Mamaeva. The authors of the article consider the artistic originality of children's poetry; they characterize the little charecters of lyrical works; they analyze the thematic range, poetics, and figurative structure. For the first time, a philological analysis of the poems "The Ostrich" ("Tyuekush"), "Oh, No!" ("Ay-Ay-Ay"), and "Our Universe Will Shine" ("Dyunyabyz Kalar Yashnap..."), which vividly and playfully convey the feelings of the little characters and their attitude towards the world around them is provided. The poetess masterfully captures the depth, precision, and lively, childlike perspective on reality. The authors of the article characterize the artistic and expressive means of the language; they note the vivid and original poetic images that fill the poems with rainbow colors. The microcosm described by S. Mamaeva is not static; it is animated and full of wonders: the drawings on the wall have their own lives. The moon sleeps during the day and dances and swims in the river in the evening. The poetess's poems are structured as a dialogue, a secret, or a confidential conversation with a child or between characters. Due to the conversational and confidential intonation of her works, the reader is invited into a world of wonder without any doubt. S. Mamaeva has an amazing ability to speak not about a child, but on behalf of a child or from the parallel world of the child's perception. This is not the perspective of an observer, but of an accomplice. It is worth noting the author's subtle psychological observation in depicting the child's inner world, their discoveries, and conflicts.</jats:p>
