Abstract

<jats:p>The article is devoted to the ethnocultural interpretation of the semantic features of the common Turkic archaic title word biike "princess, princess" in the modern Kumyk language. It examines the lexical-semantic and ethnolinguistic connotations of this lexical unit, which will allow a deeper understanding of its functional-semantic and linguoculturological significance in the studied language. The study includes elements of comparative analysis, features of its use in literary and folklore works. In Kumyk linguistic culture, Biyke is a significant archetypal image that embodies power, economic management, authority, nobility and aesthetic attractiveness. In modern language, Biike symbolizes the ideal of female beauty, combining external attractiveness with its inner harmony. This lexeme is widely used not only in Turkic, but also in Caucasian languages, expressing not only the titular meaning, but also other connotative meanings.</jats:p>
