Abstract
<title>Abstract</title> <p> <bold>Background</bold> . Tuberculosis remains a serious public health issue because the success of its treatment highly depends on the patient's adherence to long-term therapy. This study aims to analyse the influence of Information and Motivation on Behavioural Skills in the medication adherence of tuberculosis patients. <bold>Methods</bold> . The research uses an explanatory quantitative approach with a cross-sectional survey design. The research sample consisted of 230 tuberculosis patients who were still undergoing treatment, and the data were analysed using Structural Equation Modelling or SEM. <bold>Result</bold> . The research findings indicate that information and motivation significantly influence Behavioural Skills, with the influence of Information being more dominant than Motivation. These findings reinforce the theoretical contribution of the Information Motivation Behavioural Skills model in explaining tuberculosis treatment adherence behaviour. <bold>Conclusion</bold> . Practically, the research results emphasise the importance of patient education, family support, community support, as well as the strengthening of behavioural skills such as regular check-ups, mask usage, cough etiquette, and adherence to medication schedules. The originality of the research lies in the development of adherence strategies based on contextual IMB indicators for tuberculosis patients in Serdang Bedagai. </p>
