Abstract

A solution method for the Doppler effect is presented. General integral form for the acoustic pressure/wave in a uniform flow is obtained and applied to a moving time-harmonic source. The Doppler effect is discussed for linear and circular motions of the source and a unified numerical procedure for the Doppler frequency shift is also presented.
