Abstract
<title>Abstract</title> <p>Objective The emergence of multidisciplinary treatment (MDT) presents a new direction for the development and exploration of medical institutions, as it allows for the further rational and effective use of medical resources. However, there is currently a lack of a whole-process management system for MDT, from patient admission to discharge. The goal of this study is to establish measures for an MDT whole-process management system (MDTWPMS) in order to continually enhance the patient medical experience. Methods The MDTWPMS will be developed through a set of measures including enhancement of the management system, innovation of the management mode, establishment of an MDT outpatient clinic focused on disease types, construction of an information platform, and implementation of a quality management evaluation system for oversight and assessment. Results The MDT whole-process management system, encompassing patient admission to discharge, has been successfully established. Continuous improvements are being made in the supporting systems, hardware facilities, and expert members. A variety of MDT formats, including online MDT, RTMDT, and remote MDT, have been implemented. Notably, doctors' awareness of MDT has experienced a consistent improvement, fostering effective inter-professional cooperation and coordinated development among team members. Upon the implementation of MDTWPMS (MDT commenced between June 2020 and July 2020), the number of MDT cases increased from 413 per year to 1000 per year. Furthermore, the satisfaction rate of patients rose from 82.54% to 91.42%. Additionally, the recognition and loyalty of patients improved from 84.34% to 92.21% and 84.50% to 91.32%, respectively. Conclusion The implementation of MDTWPMS ensures the continuity and integrity of diagnosis and treatment for difficult and critical patients, leading to continuous improvement in patients' medical experience and maximizing their benefits.</p>
