Experience in implementing a full cycle clinic model in the treatment of children and young adults with oncological diseases.

<jats:p>Relevance. A full‑cycle clinic for patients with specialized diseases is a model of a medical organization that provides the full range of services necessary for prevention, diagnosis, treatment, early rehabilitation, and subsequent dynamic monitoring, regardless of the patient’s age and diagnosis. This structure is especially relevant for patients under 18 years of age with “adult” tumours, for patients over 18 years of age with “pediatric” malignant neoplasms, and also for those who have reached the age of majority during treatment or in the event of a disease relapse before the age of 21. The treatment and follow‑up of this cohort of patients is carried out with the direct involvement of both pediatric and adult specialists, which ensures personalized approaches and continuity of therapy, improves the quality of life, increases the satisfaction of patients and their families, and also ensures the effective use of personnel, administrative, and material resources of the medical organization. The aim of the study is to conduct a SWOT analysis of the “full‑cycle clinic” model for patients aged 0–21 with oncological and malignant hematological diseases who received treatment at the Research Institute of Pediatric Oncology and Hematology. Materials and methods. The study included patients with oncological and onchematological diseases aged 18 and older who received therapy in the inpatient setting of the Research Institute of Pediatric Oncology and Hematology between 2009 and 2025. A retrospective, cross‑sectional descriptive study was conducted using statistical methods (calculation of mean values and frequencies) and clinical grouping of the material. Results. A SWOT analysis of the “full‑cycle clinic” model for children and young adults with oncological and malignant hematological diseases is presented, based on data from patients of two age groups — under 18 years of age and over 18 years of age — who received treatment at the Research Institute of Pediatric Oncology and Hematology named after Acad. RAMS L.A. Durnov between 2009 and 2025. Conclusion. In the “full‑cycle clinic” model implemented at the Research Institute of Pediatric Oncology and Hematology, there is a clear coordination of actions and collaboration among specialists; there is an exchange of advanced experience, training programs, and educational resources, which inevitably enhances the qualifications of the staff. The combination of experience and the population of oncological patients, in turn, makes it possible to accelerate the development of new methods and improve existing ones for the treatment of malignant diseases.</jats:p>
