Improvement of the activities of the medical commission through the medical and legal component.

<jats:p>The purpose of the study is to analyze the legal norms regulating the functioning of medical commissions: the Fundamentals of Legislation on the Health of Citizens in the Russian Federation, Order No. 180n of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation dated April 10, 2025, “On Approval of the Procedure for the Creation and Activities of a Medical Commission of a Medical Organization,” and others, as well as to evaluate the positive practical experience of their activities. Materials and methods. The following methods were used in the study: logical method (for presenting the entire material, formulating recommendations, suggestions, and conclusions); system analysis method; comparative legal method; modeling method; and statistical method. Results. The article analyzes the current legal regulations governing the activities of medical commissions and presents doctrinal views on the legal aspect. In particular, the article examines the experience of functioning of medical commissions in medical organizations, focusing on cooperation with legal representatives. The article also presents an original development that has been implemented in a specific medical organization. Conclusions. The expediency of introducing a regulation is substantiated in the context of the certainty of procedures and the consolidation of guarantees. In order to formalize the relationship between the medical commission and the legal representative of the medical organization, it is advisable to introduce an appropriate local regulatory act into the activities of the medical organization.</jats:p>
