Methodology of the main transport network creation and development of the European and Cisural North of Russia

<jats:p>Research in the field of improving transport efficiency, including the development of transport networks, is relevant at the state, regional and local levels. The improvement of the main transport network of the region is associated with its creation (construction of new network sections) and development (reconstruction of existing network sections), which requires scientific justification. The article presents theoretical and methodological approaches to the creation and development of the main transport network of the region. A brief description of the region is given – the European and Cisural North of Russia. A methodology has been developed for the creation and development of the main transport network of the study region, which includes seven consecutive stages, each of which is briefly described.</jats:p>
