Seven Steps to Make Social Protection More Resilient to Crises

<jats:p>In situations where protracted conflict and displacement intersect with recurring climate shocks and economic crises, multiple challenges emerge for the provision of social protection. This policy briefing proposes seven key steps to make existing social protection programmes and systems more resilient and better able to maintain provision in situations of conflict. It is based on evidence from a larger global evidence review and set of country case studies about where, why, and how social protection programmes have been sustained in conflict-affected situations.</jats:p>
