Problematic Aspects of Investigating Objects Similar to Blunt Weapons and Kitchen Utensils

<jats:p>The article discusses the current state and ways to improve the methodology for investigating new (recently introduced) objects of blunt weapons examination. In particular, it examines the problematic aspects of classifying objects similar to both kitchen utensils and blunt weapons, as blade weapons. A specific example demonstrates the importance of using the provisions of regulations and regulatory and technical documentation when deciding on the purpose of an object under examination.</jats:p>
