Man and the Law: On the Anniversary of Professor Alexander Pavlovich Kuznetsov

<jats:p>This article analyzes the contribution to the development of criminal law by Alexander Pavlovich Kuznetsov, Doctor of Law, Professor, Honored Lawyer of the Russian Federation, and Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation. Purpose: to highlight current research trends in Russian criminal law and the contribution of Professor Alexander Pavlovich Kuznetsov, a representative of the Nizhny Novgorod criminal law school, to their study. Research method: The study is based on general scientific methods (analysis, synthesis) and specific scientific methods (comparative legal, formal legal). Conclusions: Professor A.P. Kuznetsov's name is associated with a number of contemporary areas of development in modern Russian criminal law, which are significant, among other things, for specialists working on countering drug trafficking. Scientific and practical significance: The use of the materials presented and analyzed in this article captures the results of Professor A.P. Kuznetsov's research and allows us to identify future directions for scientific research in the field of combating drug-related crime and crime in general. The materials presented on A.P. Kuznetsov's scientific work can be used in the study of the history of Russian criminal law and contemporary Russian criminal legislation, expanding the boundaries of criminal law knowledge.</jats:p>
