International Standards for the Legislative Consolidation of the Mechanism of Legal Enforcement in Criminal Proceedings

<jats:p>In this article, the author focuses on international standards, sometimes referred to as principles, which occupy a central place in the criminal justice system of any state due to their consensual nature. It is concluded that international standards are developed jointly by states on criminal procedural issues of concern to the global community. Often, the development of such standards is aimed at ensuring the rights, freedoms, and interests of participants in criminal proceedings, that is, they are aimed at improving the overall law enforcement mechanism and, consequently, optimizing prosecutorial oversight in this area.</jats:p>
