Abstract
<jats:p>This article explores the possibilities of using the Sweetie technology (a virtual 10-year-old girl based on AI) used by law enforcement agencies in some countries to combat crimes against children’s sexual integrity on the Internet (WCST) from the perspective of the Russian Federation’s criminal procedure legislation. It also addresses some challenges in implementing AI-based technologies in the criminal process. The author concludes that it is necessary to expand the list of grounds for initiating a criminal case, sources of evidence, and electronic evidence. It is emphasized that the criminal procedure legislation of the Russian Federation should be brought in line with the UN Convention against Cybercrime of 24.12.2024.</jats:p>
