Federal State Positions — One of the Components of the Centralization of State Power in Russia

<jats:p>Based on the constitutional norms, the federal legislation defining the form of government in the modern Russian state as republican with a very strong centralized power concentrated in the hands of the President of the Russian Federation is considered. The consolidated list of government positions in the Russian Federation, which has been subjected to a detailed analysis, is considered as one of the elements of the centralization of power. As a result of the study, conclusions were drawn about the need to exclude certain positions from the above consolidated list, and proposals were formulated to supplement the Constitution of the Russian Federation, as well as to amend a number of federal laws, which, in the author’s opinion, would exclude parallel legal regulation of issues related to determining which positions in the country should be classified as government positions.
