Protection of Personal Data of Military Personnel During Special Operations. Practical Aspects of Maintaining Secrecy, Responsibility for Disclosing Information about Troop Affiliation, and Recommendations for Commanders on Preventing Violations

<jats:p>The presented article is devoted to a comprehensive criminal-law and procedural analysis of the problems of protecting the personal data of military personnel in areas of special operations. The dogmatics of criminal law are investigated in the context of qualifying crimes against military service related to the violation of the secrecy regime and unauthorized use of communications. Modern judicial practice is analyzed, typical investigative errors and defects of proof in the investigation of facts of disclosure of information about deployment and affiliation with troops are identified. Applied recommendations have been developed for unit commanders, preliminary investigation bodies, and courts.</jats:p>
