Risk Management in Professional Activities of Lawyers

<jats:p>The author of the article pays attention to the centuries-old history of the existence of risks and the search for ways to minimize them. Recognizing that any professional activity is fraught with risks, the author points out that the risks of each profession are individual and the author analyzes how the risks of professional activities of an advocate can be managed. Based on his previous research in this field, the author attempts to develop a professional risk management model, consisting of the following stages: identification of existing or probable risks, risk analysis, risk assessment, development of strategies and mechanisms that may adversely affect the quality of professional legal assistance, management impact on the risk in order to minimize it (neutralize the negative impact). The research allowed the author to formulate conclusions aimed at minimizing the risks of advocacy (neutralize the negative impact).</jats:p>
