Bad Debt as a Financial and Legal Institution

<jats:p>This article analyzes the rules governing the write-off and recovery of uncollectible debt. Based on criteria for identifying financial and legal institutions proposed in financial law, the author demonstrates that a distinct financial institution — uncollectible debt—has emerged within the financial legal system. It is noted that this institution has a complex structure, with its provisions contained in the General and Special Parts of Financial Law.</jats:p>
