The Institute of Evidence and Proof of Arbitration and Civil Procedures in Russia and Artificial Intelligence

<jats:p>The purpose of this scientific article is to identify a number of emerging problems in the functioning of the legal institution of evidence and the process of proof related to artificial intelligence and formulate proposals for overcoming difficulties in related civil proceedings. The research methodology utilized scientific analysis and synthesis, an empirical method, and legal (judicial) examation method. The practical conclusions of this scientific article include: a recomedation for legal entities and sole proprietors to strictly record the origin of each document, prepared using artificial intelligence and disclose the status of such evidence to the court. Furthermore, participants in civil cases should understand that judges can now independently collect and analyse digital evidence, which undoubtedly speeds up the process and increases its transparency. The research’s scientific and practical relevance includes the trend toward the digitalization of justice and the development of methodology for litigants to acquire new skills in working with digital evidence and evidence obtained using artificial intelligence.</jats:p>
