Extensive and Intensive Characteristics of Access to Justice in Criminal Proceedings

<jats:p>The article analyzes the concept of “access to justice” in the criminal procedure of the Russian Federation from the standpoint of two approaches — extensive and intensive. The author proposes an original binary concept: the extensive approach covers the quantitative side (the list of judicial proceedings to which a person must be provided access), while the intensive approach covers the qualitative side (the fairness of the procedure and the legality of the final decision).</jats:p>
