Constitutional and Legal Status of Electronic Voting as One of the Forms of Electronic Democracy

<jats:p>The article analyzes the constitutional and legal status and essence of electronic voting, and substantiates the fact that electronic voting is a special type of electronic democracy. A comparison of various interpretations of electronic democracy is conducted, and the positive and negative aspects of these interpretations are identified. The author emphasizes the need to ensure the equal development of electoral technologies in all regions of the Russian Federation, as well as providing equal access to the Internet for all citizens.</jats:p>
