UNIFORM RULES IN THE FIELD OF CONSUMER RIGHTS PROTECTION: ON THEIR PLACE IN THE SYSTEM OF RUSSIAN LEGISLATION AND KEY NOVELTIES. PART 1

<jats:p>The article analyzes the innovations in the field of consumer protection legislation that arose in connection with the approval, by Decree of the Supreme State Council of the Union State, of the Uniform Rules in the Field of Consumer Protection, which came into force on December 6, 2024, on the territory of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus. The first part of the article examines the legal nature of this act and determines its place in the Russian legal system as having direct and immediate effect on the territory of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus, and possessing superior legal force over domestic laws, including specialized consumer protection laws.</jats:p>
