Abstract
<jats:p>Chief health resort physician in Polish law.Administrative and legal study The presented monograph is focused on the specific institution of the chief health resort physician &ndash; a specific function with a long-term legal tradition &ndash; which has evolved and operates within the administrative framework governing health resort related matters. The work is principally a study in legal sciences: it is an administrative and legal study with particular emphasis on the structure of the administration and the organisation of health and environmental conditions characteristic of the health resort area. As the issue of the chief health resort physician has so far received too little attention in the legal literature, this monograph is an attempt at a comprehensive analysis and evaluation of the Polish regulations in this respect. The choice of the topic is connected with the need to show the legal position and the role of this physician in successive stages of evolution of the organisational model of the locality in which the health resort is located. The structure of the study, consisting of three chapters, has made it possible to fulfil this assumption.</jats:p>
