High-performance thermoelectric behavior InSb-Sb composite systems

<jats:p>Structure, DSC, and XRD analyses of the InSb-Sb eutectic composite produced using the Bridgman method have been carried out. It has been demonstrated that the InSb matrix contains needle-shaped Sb inclusions orientated toward the direction of solidification. For this composite, the enthalpy of melting and the initial and final temperatures have been established. The sort-circuiting effect of inclusions has been identified as the cause of the anisotropy seen in the composite's temperature dependences of the electrical conductivity.</jats:p>
