Abstract
<p>A protocol for SDS-PAGE protein electrophoresis with rapid Coomassie-free gel staining using X-Stain SDS-PAGE Rapid Staining Solution. Covers sample preparation, gel electrophoresis, rapid staining, destaining, and gel imaging for protein purity assessment, expression screening, and molecular weight estimation. SDS-PAGE (sodium dodecyl sulfate–polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis) is the standard method for separating proteins by molecular weight under denaturing conditions. Traditional Coomassie Brilliant Blue staining requires overnight destaining. X-Stain is a rapid, one-step staining solution that visualizes protein bands in 10-30 minutes without fixation or destaining, making it ideal for routine QC of recombinant proteins, cell lysate analysis, and purification monitoring.</p>
