Abstract
<jats:p>The article provides information about the scientific works of scientists, the theories they write about language. Disputes between a group of scientists on this topic have not stopped to this day. Most scientists consider the emergence of language because of the need for communication between people. Of course, it cannot be denied that language originated with humans and has been studied by them for a long time. Like other sciences, language develops and is studied from all sides. As society developed, so did language, and it is known that there are many differences between the ancient language and the modern language. The article describes some traditional methods of studying and teaching languages. It is established that the combination of traditional and innovative methods in the study and teaching of the Kyrgyz language is an urgent requirement. The use of text as a means of teaching the Kyrgyz language is widely practiced in higher education institutions. The errors made when writing texts and the methods of working with them are analyzed. The scientific work analyzes aspects of traditional language learning methods, issues of mastering literate writing in Kyrgyz in universities, and examines methods of overcoming illiteracy in universities</jats:p>
