<jats:p>Anne Hermle traces the development of Spanish bankruptcy law from Castilian law of the thirteenth century to the Ley Concursal of 2003. She examines key legal sources, the further development of the law through scholarship and case law, and highlights whether, and to what extent other European legal systems influenced Spanish law.</jats:p>
