CODE YAA Education quality indicators toolkit: report and recommendations

<jats:p>Report and Recommendations Submitted to the CODE- YAA@Edu-PC Project Leadership 4 July 2026, and on behalf of the Toolkit Work Group (WG), which is part of Project Workgroup 1. The European COST program-funded CODE-YAA@Edu-PC European Project has an overall goal of improving the quality of palliative care education across European countries. To this end, a principal focus of activity has been identifying – through a combination of literature reviews, environmental scans, Delphi studies and expert input – indicators of high quality palliative care education. This process has resulted in the identification of 36 quality indicators, distributed across three domains, namely Structures, Processes and Outcomes (Donabedian Model). These indicators, which collectively are referred to as the tool, are meant to apply to various education interventions (such as a specific course or a whole curriculum), for different professions and at different levels of education, from undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) training to continuing professional development (CPD. It may also apply at an institutional level or at a country level.</jats:p>
