<jats:p>The design and development of new phosphorus-containing azoles and peptidomimetics are attracting considerable attention due to their value as intermediates in the synthesis of some biologically active compounds and the prospects for further pharmacological application. 1,3-Oxazole derivatives, as masked peptides, constitute an important group of amino acid precursors, and are widely used in contemporary organic synthesis. This review summarises the research on the synthesis and properties of phosphorylated 1,3-azoles, and 1,3-oxazole-based synthetic strategies of phosphorylated amino acids and peptides conducted by Academician V.S. Brovarеts and a group of scientists under his leadership</jats:p>
