Abstract
<jats:p>A Crossref webinar for funding organisations on maximising the impact and visibility of research funding. Research funders hold extensive data about the research they fund, but this data is often not leveraged to its full potential. This session covered how funding information can help funders meet open science commitments and track compliance with funding policies. It also covered how connecting funding information to research outputs through Crossref creates a clearer picture of an organisation's research portfolio, transforming research information into assets that support strategic decision making and help monitor compliance with funding policies. The session was aimed at research funders new to Crossref's Grant Linking System, those familiar with funding metadata who had not yet engaged with Crossref, and existing members who had not started or were only partially registering their grants. Topics included grant reporting, tracking open access and open science policy compliance, and building evidence for strategic review.</jats:p>
