Abstract
This article explores aspects of optimizing the management of projects aimed at patriotic education of children and youth. Contemporary challenges associated with the development of civic identity and social responsibility in the younger generation make especially necessary to find new approaches to organizing project activities in this area. The paper examines the concepts of "patriotism," "patriotic education management," and "patriotic education project." Using the Sverdlovsk Region as an example, the status of implementation of patriotic projects over the past five years is analyzed. Despite significant progress in the development of such projects, the study identified a number of systemic problems and constraints limiting the potential of patriotic education, including the uneven development of patriotic infrastructure, personnel issues, insufficient implementation of innovative technologies in patriotic education, and the problem of assessing the effectiveness of patriotic projects, which is the most complex and controversial. Based on the study's findings, the author offers specific recommendations and proposals for improving the management system for patriotic projects.
