Business climate and mechanisms for stimulating the activities of small and medium-sized enterprises in the BRICS countries

<jats:p>The monograph examines theoretical approaches to the development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and the assessment of the effectiveness of measures to support them. The features of the development of SMEs in the BRICS countries, drivers and barriers to growth are analyzed. Special attention is paid to the system of state support and incentive measures for SMEs in the BRICS countries, including tax and financial instruments. The role of innovative and technological factors in the development of SMEs is considered. Recommendations for further improvement of incentives for SMEs are presented.
