Legal support for defense: the emergency military legislation of the USSR in the pre-war years and the initial period of the war

<jats:p>The monograph is devoted to the study of domestic emergency military legislation, a set of regulatory legal acts adopted, as a rule, in peacetime and implemented with the outbreak of hostilities or in the face of a real threat of military aggression. The article examines emergency military legislation as a legal category, the genesis of Soviet emergency military legislation, the historical practice of its formation and development in 1920-1941 — the periods of transition to peaceful socialist construction, the first Soviet military reform and the pre-war years. Separate sections of the theory and history of law and the state, as well as branch legal sciences, are being developed and specified. It is intended for teachers, postgraduates, and students of higher educational institutions studying the history of the Russian state and law. It will be of interest to researchers of the problems of the development of national law in the field of state and society security in the pre-war years and during the Great Patriotic War. It can be used in lectures and group classes on the theory of state and law, the history of the Russian state and law, constitutional, administrative, criminal and military law, social security law, as well as in the development of special courses on the problems of emergency legal regimes.</jats:p>
