Chronic heart failure and concomitant pathology: risk stratification of cardiovascular complications

<jats:p>The monograph is based on the dissertation material by E.V. Khazova and contains new data on the distribution of alleles and genotypes of polymorphisms of a number of genes (IL 6, TNF, IL 1b, CETP, ZBTB17) in patients with chronic heart failure (CHF), taking into account gender and comorbidity. The genetic determinants of structural and geometric remodeling of the myocardium in CHF against the background of coronary heart disease, including in combination with chronic kidney disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and diabetes mellitus, are presented. Associations of polymorphisms of the studied genes with the five-year prognosis of patients have been established, genetic and other factors of unfavorable prognosis have been identified, and prognostic models have been developed. Information is given on the threshold level of highly sensitive C-reactive protein in patients with CHF and concomitant diseases, and two prognostic clusters of patients with CHF of ischemic etiology are identified.</jats:p>
