Abstract
<jats:p>The textbook is devoted to topical issues of ensuring freight and passenger transportation in transport, which plays a major role in everyone's life. The transport complex and its main elements are characterized, the specifics of the transportation process for each type of transport are reflected. The concept of cargo is disclosed and its main characteristics are given. The organization of transportation of goods, passengers and baggage, various types of cargo and passenger service facilities, and features of transportation contracts are considered. In addition, issues of ensuring safety during the transportation of goods and passengers, as well as the use of information technology in the service of cargo and passenger transportation were discussed.
