Abstract
<jats:p>The textbook's content covers the basic level of mathematics education for secondary schools, corresponding to current programs and textbooks. It contains universal methodological information applicable to any modern school textbook on mathematics for grades 5-6. The author sought to enrich the professional, psychological and methodological competencies of future teachers, as well as to show them how to most effectively build mathematics lessons for students in grades 5-6, taking into account the principles of continuity. This is the first experience of creating such a textbook as part of the training of students of pedagogical universities. Meets the requirements of the latest generation of federal state educational standards for higher education. For students of higher educational institutions studying in the field of Mathematics Teacher training, as well as current teachers, heads of methodological associations and teachers of advanced training courses for mathematics teachers.</jats:p>
