Abstract
<jats:p>The book presents the general provisions of the theory of thought figures in the Russian language, outlines ideas about their systematics and the main mechanism of formation — structural and semantic increment. Repetition figures, logical dialogical and functional (text-forming) figures are considered in detail. Information is given on the ways of combining rhetorical figures of thought in the composition of the whole text. The research material in the book is the texts of public speeches by Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia about the Russian world. It is addressed to a wide range of philologists — teachers, students, as well as those who, by their occupation, are associated with the field of public speaking, who are interested in the public activities of Patriarch Kirill and the problems of the Russian world.</jats:p>
