Abstract

For the first time in the world literature, the monograph shows the possibilities of using biotechnologies and wastewater treatment plants in the form of low-carbon technological schemes for the capture and utilization of greenhouse gases, including carbon dioxide and methane. The options for the application of physico-chemical, including flotation, wastewater treatment technologies for the capture and utilization of carbon dioxide and methane, as well as the cultivation of microalgae, for which carbon dioxide is a substrate, are analyzed. Examples of the use of carbon dioxide utilization in the cultivation of microalgae and methane in various fields of its application, including for the production of biomass of methane-oxidizing bacteria, are given. Examples of hardware design of carbon dioxide and methane capture and utilization processes are given, for example, using special equipment, including various types of flotation combines. It is intended for researchers, university professors, graduate students, undergraduates, and anyone interested in environmental issues.
