Abstract

<jats:p>The textbook examines the influence of the personality and spiritual heritage of St. Tikhon of Zadonsk on the artistic axiology and anthropology of prominent figures of Russian culture. The direct influence of the saint's legacy on the formation and development of the worldview and artistic world of N.V. Gogol and F.M. Dostoevsky is investigated. The typological similarity between the anthropological issues in the writings of St. Tikhon and the works of A.S. Pushkin, L.N. Tolstoy, N.S. Leskov, A.N. Ostrovsky, A.P. Chekhov, A.V. Vampilov, M.A. Sholokhov is revealed. All this allows us to outline ways to further comprehend the spiritual "component" of Russian literature, introduce new concepts into scientific circulation, and develop new methodological approaches to analyzing artistic works in the context of the national spiritual tradition. Meets the requirements of the latest generation of federal state educational standards for higher education.
