Abstract
<jats:p>Natural potential as a set of natural resources and properties of the natural environment is one of the competitive advantages of the state and the basis of its sovereignty. Sustainable economic growth and the well-being of society are associated with the preservation of natural potential. The formation of appropriate legal means is considered in the monograph as a complex regulatory task. The concept of "natural potential" is studied, its role in the construction of legal conditions for the interaction of society and nature is determined. The analysis of the problems of legal support for scientific activities aimed at preserving the natural potential of Russia, the basic principles of environmental and natural resource law, conservation of biodiversity and natural ecological systems is carried out. Special attention is paid to the concept of regulating the environmental intensity of economic activity, the legal regulation of integrated environmental management, the essence of environmental and legal restrictions, other economic and legal aspects of natural potential, as well as the legal conditions for the conservation of individual natural resources.
