8.0 The Fate of Yeshu’s Body

<jats:p>Chapter 8 covers the period following the crucifixion of Yeshu. In line with the biblical injunction of not letting a crucified body remain overnight on the cross, the Jews take Yeshu’s body off the cross and bury it in Yehudah’s garden. However, when Yeshu’s followers do not find his body, they insist that he ascended to Heaven. To prove that this is a lie, Yehudah exhumes Yeshu’s body and drags it through the streets of Tiberias for all to see that Yeshu did not ascend to Heaven. The body is then re-buried somewhere in Tiberias.</jats:p>
