<jats:p>Chapter 3 is devoted to Pilatus’ interrogation of Yeshu – first about the identity of his parents, then about his own name and profession, and finally about the books of magic found in his possession. Yeshu says that he received the books of magic from Yoḥanan the Dyer (i.e., John the Baptist).</jats:p>
